I have been a subscriber to Widget Widget for a while now. I recently came across the following(courtesy of Aqua Soft):

Widget Widget releases all of their works under the Creative Commons 2.5 license. This license provides for the free redistribution of all of their works provided that attribution and license information are both provided. More importantly, this license applies to their current "subscription" work and their pre-existing work.

Ultimately, this means that I (as a subscriber) am free to redistribute the icons of any given set under two conditions (detail and example below):

Attribute the icons to Widget Widget
Link to the Widget Widget Terms and Conditions

As well as the cost of my Widget Widget subscription, I will also be hosting the icons (in and format), so I am asking for something in return...

As most of you know I have recently set up MacThemes UK and Community, along with a DA account. Well in return for the icons, I ask that you register at the Community. As long as you participate within the community, you will be granted access to the Widget Widget sub board - which will be set up shortly. Within said board will be all the icons that are available from Widget Widget, for both Mac and PC users.



Apart from the subscription costs and hosting mentioned, there is also the fact that MacThemes UK is a new community. I am hoping that by extending this hand and offer, it will entice new users into the community and we can really get the site alive and active

There is no advertising at the main site or community, that is a pet hate of mine - so I am NOT gaining clicks. I gain nothing monetary wise, only the community spirit that I hope will develop.
